Soccer, Singing and a Story

Today was Teagen's last soccer game and they won the Little Pee Wee division Championship! Teagen was on the field most of the time so I consider it a win. 
(Teagen is number 47 in the navy jersey.) 

 

 

Teagen started singing this cute song the other day in Spanish and I was completely shocked! He knows an entire song in Spanish! Jeff and I know there is so much more this kid knows that he wasn't shown us yet!
(if anyone knows where I can get the lyrics, can you please let me know!)

 

The other night I was bathing Teagen and he started telling this story about a dragon. As soon as he was finished with the story, I realized that I should have recorded it. I asked if he had another story to tell me and he did, the story of The Witch and The Kid

teagen's first soccer game

We've been looking forward to Teagen playing soccer for a long time now, well ever since he turned 2. He's also been looking forward to playing soccer on a team for a while. So, you can imagine the all around excitement when we were finally able to sign him up and he was put on a team.

The week leading up to his first game, soccer was all he wanted to play. Finally, the Saturday arrives and we head out to the field all pumped up. Teagen meets the Coach and his teammates, gets his jersey (#47) and starts running around the field. Everything looks great!

And then, things start going down hill a little. At this point, the game hasn't started yet, they're still just practicing.

He ended up crawling out the bottom of the net and running over to me for some Gatorade. 

So, the game starts and we're expecting some action.

This was the action we got between Teagen running over to sit with us because he didn't feel like playing or because he wanted more Gatorade. 

Finally, the ball made it's over to him and he got involved!

The action was short lived, but I was so glad he finally played and had fun!

We're all looking forward to tomorrow's game and I hope Teagen is more interested in playing soccer than climbing the goal or drinking Gatorade!

Finger Painting

We bought  Teagen a finger painting kit yesterday and as soon as he saw it he wanted to try it, and he let me know several times. We opened this afternoon and Teagen had a blast! He was so nice and clean before we started, but it sure didn't last long...

summer fun

We bought Teagen a little swimming pool for the backyard and he absolutely loves it! Yesterday was our first day playing in it and he just kept splashing and splashing. He would jump up and land on his bottom to splash and then lean back on the rim and splash his feet. He had so much fun. It's the perfect size for him. There was even enough room for me to lounge and splash a little :)

 

Teagen Dancing

Teagen always dances in the car, no matter what is on the radio! If he doesn't like the song, he is sure to tell us, though! Jeff taught him how to dance like this, lol!

Tumble Team

We enrolled Teagen in Tumble Team at his preschool a few months ago. I'd ask him about Tumble Team and sometimes he'd say he liked it and sometimes he'd say that he didn't like it. If he felt like it, he would show us a tumble or two. So the other day I asked the Coach how Teagen was doing and he said Teagen is doing really well and he always tries everything and participates. Then he offered to take pictures! I was so excited! He even offered to take pictures for us every other week when the curriculum changes. 

I was so happy to see these pictures and know that Teagen is having a great time at Tumble Team and to actually see what he's learning.
