We wanted to sell our house, but because we've only been here a few years, we're still very upside down on it. Plus, right now it's a "buyer's market" and not a "seller's market", so we're staying. This motivated us to finish decorating the house and really make it ours. So we painted the living room chocolate and the kitchen green.
Jeff painted the green onto the white wooden wall hanging so it would match. I'm very proud of him, he made it look really good :)
Of course, my little backyard garden failed becaus of my black thumb and all (really because I always forget to water). Jeff tilled the dead plants and overgrown grass/weeds and laid down white rocks and bordered with little cedar posts. We plan on putting a fountain in it, but we're still looking for one. I also bought some little gnomes, even though I think they are much more comfortable in plant garden instead of a rock garden, but they'll get along fine I'm sure. When the cashier at Home Depot scanned it she said "ready for Christmas" and I was so confused until I realized she must have thought they were elves. But she works in the garden dept...weird. Teagen loves the rocks! He was helping me spread them out yesterday and starting making rock angels. Then of course he was covered in white dust, it was pretty funny.

(remember, it's a work in progress)
To finish off our yard, we bricked the little piece of landscaping that's separate from the rest of it and put the planters on it. It looks good, except that those flowers died too. I'm thinking of planting succulents there. I think those are more my kind of plants. It's scorching here too anyway, so I like to think they would have died even if I was a good gardener :)
and here's a picture of Teagen saying cheeeeese.
